Is anybody familiar with the new book by a Dutch sociologist, Jan-Willem
Gerritsen, _The Control of Fuddle and Flash: A Sociological History of the
Regulation of Alcohol and Opiates_? I would like to mention it in my
_Choice_ bibliographical essay but have not seen the book. Ditto re A.
Lynn Martin, _Alcohol, Sex, and Gender in Late Medieval and Early Modern
Europe_.
