A librarian has written to me to inquire about temperance camps.  Seems that
there was such a thing near her home in Maryland in the 1870s.  She is
wondering if these sorts of camps were common and, if so, how common.  Also,
I am wondering just what were "temperance camps."  Does anyone know.
