ATHG is an an unmoderated listserv group, so whatever is sent to the
listserv gets distributed automatically (with the exception of posts that
the people who run the listservs at Miami University regard as SPAM
advertising).  This explains why occasionally a post intended for an
individual gets sent to the listserv group as a whole.

Why is ATHG an unmoderated listserv group?  Essentially to save my time
since I manage the ATHG listserv by myself (in contrast to the H-Net
listservs which have a team of editors who rotate responsibilities).
