Take a look at Basil R. Browne's work on gambling, particularly his
comparative analysis of GA and NA. Sorry, it's been so long I don't have
specific cites to offer. Ron

Subject: pathological gambling

Hi All

I'm doing some research on the history of ideas related to gambling
addiction. Pre-addiction concept material, pre-twentieth century, is my
current target. Sermons and the like would be invaluable. Plays and even
poems could help.

I'd be grateful for any leads.

Peter
