Okay, I may have blurted out "northern" too quickly -- it was definitely a shrike but once home I listened to Northern songs and that wasn't what I heard -- so check Loggerhead, too even though I know that's less likely -- what I heard sounded more like a Loggerhead.  Soooo, now I hope others can find it and verify that for me.  I'm changing my e-bird report to "shrike" with notes to indicate this.  I did get a video with my phone in an effort to get some of the song, but it's weak and probably not enough.  I'm not a photographer so no equipment other than my phone with me.
