Greetings! Well, after a few confirmations, :-D I have determined that I have at least on female, one indeterminant...prob. a nonbreeding male. Males have been hard for me to determine, but I think I have at least one, the bill is different, and the color is just...WOW!
Also went to Lawrence woods, just outside of Kenton. Nothing special there, but a lot of wind.
However on the wildflower front, the dutchman's breeches are starting to pop up. I had one that was in a protected area microclimate and was putting on a full show.
I am heading to Black Mtn in Kentucky this weekend for forest floor photography, have any in southern Ohio seen anything in the Ky birding reports for that area. I am hoping for some warbler action while there. Thanks in advance.
See you out there,
Steve J.
