Early this afternoon there was a drake Lesser Scaup at Howe Pond, which is at the end of Howe Industrial Parkway in Canal Winchester, Fairfield County.
Howe Pond can be reached from US Route 33 south-east of Columbus. Take the Diley Road Exit, go north less than a mile to Howe Industrial Parkway. Howe Pond is at the end of this parkway.
The Scaup was loosely associating with several Mallards. Also present was a Mute Swan, which had been hanging around this pond for several weeks.
