A few sightings within the CVNP yesterday:
I. MAMMALS
1. Red Fox - 1 (west side of the big hill along Oak Hill Rd.)
II. BIRDS
1. Wood Duck - a flock of 8 flying over Major Rd.
2. Killdeer - 6 (total for the day - all flying north)
3. American Woodcock - 1 (flushed from the field west of Woodward Creek
at corner of Bath & Northampton Rds.)
4. Turkey Vulture - 2 (flying over farm fields across from Blossom Music Center)
5. Fox Sparrow - 1 (along Oak Hill Rd. just north of Scobie Rd.)
6. Rusty Blackbird - 6 (3m,3f - one pair at a feeder along Major Rd. west of
Horseshoe Pond mixed in with grackles,red-wings & one cowbird and two
pair in the wet field at the bend in Major Rd. feeding with 8 robins)
