My wife and I stopped at several viewing spots at Pick Ponds late yesterday afternoon. Didn't see much except from the new viewing platform at the Blue Wing Pond area. There was a flock of Tundra Swans--maybe 15-20. Sorry, forgot to count. Also a pretty large flock of Northern Shovelers, and a similarly sized flock of American Black Ducks. Also a few Mallards. Seen from that same platform: Two Mute Swans, two Bald Eagles, and one (pretty sure) Mink. The eagles were later seen perched on the tops of tall trees in the southwest corner of the park.

We tried to find White-Crowned Sparrows but were unsuccessful.
