Tonight, Tuesday, just before and at the 5:15PM sunset, a or the, long staying single Pelican was on a sandbar a good distance to the east of the old railroad bridge. Viewing was with a spotting scope from The US224 Causeway. Strangely at about 5:30PM, fifteen minutes after sunset, it took flight heading to the west into the red sky, up and over the old railroad bridge and out of sight. Was it heading back to its other favorite spot by The German Church Boat Ramp? Will it be at that location in the morning? Forty-four degrees and a beautiful moon.
