9/28--BDMP--.4 mi. walk to Oak Savannah (early successional stages,
mixed broadleaf shrub/woody vines/small deciduous saplings of varying
hieghts, mostly oak, among open areas of dense tall weeds/goldenrod,
edge/margins of mature deciduous, mixed pine/deciduous)
10 am.--2 hrs. Cool to hot. Mixed migrants early to not. Brief
encounter with traveling migrants, an interesting assortment, some in
full song, early, most foraging low often in the goldenrod, moving N
along the trail, often rapidly.

Red-headed Woodpecker 5 (2 ad./3 imm., latter being flybys)
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 4
Eastern Wood-pewee 3
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher 2 (within upper levels, SONGs, calls, often)
Alder Flycatcher 2 (mid levels and lower, foraging in open, calls)
Least Flycatcher 6
Eastern Phoebe 10
Blue-headed Vireo 6 (at least one in full song)
Warbling Vireo 1 (late)
Philadelphia Vireo 8 (low levels, foraging in goldenrod/thickets, one
in full song)
