I am a volunteer with the Cleveland Metro Parks.
I relocate woodland plats along the Crocker Sterns road extension and
relocate them to a wetland abetment project.
When searching for plants today I got within 10 feet of a female Turkey
before she scared the living you know what out of me.
Damn she made me jump.
I scanned the location (did not walk into this fallen snag for fear of
stepping on hidden eggs) for a nest but did not see any eggs or polts.
Later when I went to the wetland abatement location to plant some of the
plants (I am on the Metro Parks harvest permit to take plants out of the
park) I saw three Redheaded WP's going after a perched Pileated wp, I do not
carry a camera just bino's when I harvest plants.
