I was at the Lake Metroparks Helen Hazen Wyman Park yesterday and had a
female common merganser with young along the Grand River. The birds were at
the east end of the park. They were feeding along the bank and I surprised
them. The whole group dove and swam a good distance before diving and
heading further out. Two of the young hung out long enough for me to
finally get some photos of the young in Lake County. I also had a singing
yellow-throated warbler. Helen Hazen Wyman is just south of Painesville.
