One our our maintenance staff spotted her yesterday morning as well so she made it through the strong winds yesterday. There are not many nectar plants left now, but the feeder is still up. When I spotted her she was in top of the crabapple across from the feeder. I will post again tomorrow with an update, but for now...she is still here...and it's a beautiful day!48_1Nov201308:47: [log in to unmask] |

My friend just told me she followed a bald eagle south down Rt 21 yesterday
north of Minor Road. This is right at headwaters of Barberton Reservoir.
And it *is* breeding season, right? Just wondered... I have seen ospreys
at the reservoir many times and know they fish here. I am 3 miles north of
the reservoir and ospreys have attempted nesting the last 2 years on a cell
tower within sight from my yard, and I've seen them carrying fish from the
direction of the reservoir.
Why not an eagle!?!?
Has anyone seen or know of an eagle in the area or whether a nest is
suspected or confirmed?
That would be a most awesome yard bird. :-D
