On a note of coincidence, today, Scott Weidensal posted on "The Pennsylvania Birding List" the following: I'm delighted to report that I banded Pennsylvania's first state record Allen's Hummingbird today near Leola, Lancaster County- a healthy, beautiful female. To see the total message go to "Birding On The.Net" / Pennsylvania - message 12Dec Allen's Hummingbird, Lancaster County (Scott Weidensal). Here's the kicker- this hummer has been coming to this house since September. Such similarities: same periods of time and both in Amish country; Holmes County, Ohio and Lancaster County, Pennsylvania!!!
