Paula Bartlett and I conducted the monthly census on Kelleys Island
today. This is the 13th April census. 62 species and 3685
individuals were observed. Both numbers are below the 13 year average
for April which is 67 species and 4418 individuals. A pair of
Northern Shovelers were new for the April census. All four monthly
census this year have been below average in number of species and
number of individuals.
