Hi All,
Birded from AvonLake to Lorain and back today and saw hundreds of ring bills, a few herring,4 blk backed, 8 coots, several mallards, 1 M hooded and 2 F merg.,and about 20 C geese at the Lorain marina.
On my way back east I stopped at Harbor House park/pull/off just east of Lorain marina and with the scope found 2 W. Grebes all by themselves quite a ways out , diving.
I watched them a 1/2 hr and waited hoping one of you guys would show up, but not to be.
They were a lifer for me and made my day!!! Totally beautiful!!!
PS At the 'hot waters' I saw a variety of 'ducks' and got out of the car and heard gunshots!!! They were hunting!!! The 'ducks' were decoys!!! Needless to say, I left!
