We had a large, mostly gray, bird set down in our front yard Thursday and Friday. It was crow-sized, but more robust. The tail seemed to have a white edge. Each time we spotted it, it took off like a shot before we could identify it or get any field marks, but it seemed to be perhaps a hawk? Would a Coopers ever land in a yard? Could it appear gray (from top)? Thanks for any speculation- maybe off list would be best. Kathleen Bradley- Berea
