As a long-time watcher and contributor to this Listserv I agree  with Karen (see below).  The 'take-away' from this should be to take personal concerns off-line with the person you disagree with. That's the way they do it in business - it is part of "email etiquette"  I believe it's OK, maybe even important, to disagree, and to have a lively debate.  Both sides stand to learn and grow when that takes place.  
Let's get back to sharing sightings and helping each other grow our birding skills and environmental awareness of what benefits the birds.

This is an opportunity for this community to agree to disagree and to see there are more things in common than the differences that occur. Let's not be an example of the division in our country. Let's be bigger than that and learn from this unfortunate incident and move on stronger.
