All,
We had a female Purple Finch at our thistle feeder today. We are also seeing a big movement of Juncos as we have 40+ in our yard today, about 4 times our usual number.
We also have a Hood Merganser incubating 8+ eggs in one of our 3 boxes. We think she started around April 1st. We’ve also had around 8 Wood Ducks staging around the other 2 boxes, but no eggs yet.
48 Purple Martin gourds go up this weekend as they are starting to arrive. Hoping for a big year.
