I'm sure most people on the Ohio-Birds listserve are net-savvy enough to
realize this, but in case anyone is wondering, the "HELP" message from a few
minutes ago -- supposedly from our friend Randel Rogers -- is a bogus
message. This exact same scam has appeared several times in the last few
months on various listserves devoted to birds, lepidoptera, etc. -- it's
always London, always went there on short notice, always just got mugged and
need a few dollars, etc. You'd think the scammers would think of something
more original. Anyway, before anyone gets excited and tries to do something
about this -- the message is a scam, it's not from Randel Rogers, and it
should be ignored.
