Calliope is still present. His activities today were active and vibrant as
he scavenged for insects among the Golden Raspberry and Purple Coneflower
plants. There were lots of flying insects to be seen and he was taking
advantage of their abundancy.


Throughout the day he was feeding again at both feeders, hovering more when
feeding as compared to the prior days last week when the temperatures were
frigid. Finally, as he has displayed before, he had no hesitation in
defending his territory today against the Chickadees, Golden Finches and
others. I did observe his climbing, hovering and diving display at various
times this afternoon as well.
