On this crisp and frosty November morning, at approximately 0645 am, I hung
the cleaned and refreshed Hummingbird feeders. No sooner did I take a step
back than our awakened avian resident appeared for his am refueling.

Noted activities yesterday included his usual feeding between the two
feeders. The sunny day allowed us to view his energetic activity which
entailed his ferocious attempt to keep everyone at bay from his territory.
Not only was he attempting aggressive fly byes of our residential
Chickadees and Goldfinches, he at one point became so annoyed with a
defiant Goldfinch, he proceeded to chase and peck the head of his
"tormentor".
