On the south side of the parking lot at Northmoor Park in Clintonville, in
a large sycamore, there were 2 female Woodducks and a third duck I could
not ID in the bad weather. At the west end of the parking lot, in the
bushes at the Olentangy River shore, were many Golden-crowned Kinglets. And
at the dedication monument further up the bike path, looking across the
river to a large sycamore, about 30 feet up at 1 o'clock is an active hawk
nest. The lighting was too poor for any ID, but the parent's head is
clearly visible.
