There was a decent movement of waterfowl today. The numbers were light and
occasional, but fairly steady. There was one flock of 6 surf and 17 black
scoters and a long-tailed duck. Another black scoter was in a merganser
flock. Gull numbers were light with the most abundant gull being herring.
The herrings were flying east while the other gulls were heading west. Of
note was a single fly-by red-throated loon and a rough-legged hawk out over
the lake.
