The previously reported Golden-winged Warbler was at his post this morning again, singing in the same location near the far end of the clearcut. He was most active before 9:30am, becoming more secretive with longer gaps between singing bouts as the morning wore on.
Other highlights included Chestnut-sided, Prairie, and Blue-winged Warblers, Yellow-breasted Chats, and two Red-headed Woodpeckers, one in the dead trees near the Golden-winged's location, and one nearby at the edge of the woods.
