Went to Delaware Wildlife Area and Delaware State Park this morning. The State
Park is closed due to high water. The reservoir is as high as I have seen since
I started visiting in 2004.
The wildlife area also has a lot of water but is very viewable. The pond SW of
the corner of Panhandle and Leonardburg roads held 1000's of ducks. My list
follows
Ring-necked
Redhead
Mallard
Gadwall
Wigeon
Bufflehead
Northern Shoveler
Pintail
Scaup
Wood duck
Canada Goose
Hooded Merganser
Also seen were Coots, Eastern Meadowlark, 100's of American Robins, Pileated
Woodpecker.
