Sparrows this time of year and I presume they are feeding their
nestlings/fledglings. I once saw a Grackle repeatedly attack and then
carry off a fledgling Starling. I wouldn't have thought a Grackle could
take off with that much weight.

During our Ohio Wetlands Association Jamboree today (at the Homer Page Farm on Mason Road east of Milan, Ohio) we got our kayaks and canoes out on the Huron River. A bald eagle flew down the river over our heads and landed in a tree long enough for us to get good looks at him. What a thrill! Kathleen Bradley- Berea
