Today there was an immature Little Blue Heron at the Slate Run Metro Park
Wetland in Pickaway County. It was a pond west of the Kokomo Wetland Trail,
with a dozen or so Canada Geese.
Water levels are quite low in the wetland, and there is much good habitat
for shore birds, but I found only a small number of Pectoral Sandpipers and
two Solitary Sandpipers, along with 50 or so Killdeer.
