For the last couple of years, some red-wing BB have stayed around all winter. Including this year.
But in the past, my records show the first ones being seen always close to Feb 14.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] early RW Blackbird

Here in Fairlawn, Summit County w of Akron, heard the familiar call of a redwing BB this PM and followed it to a bird perched in a tree above a stream/ditch at the edge of the golf course. Saw no red, too far away. Usually they arrive after Grackles around here, no Grackles yet, so it seems very early.
